Talent acquisition is one of the functions that has been most fundamentally transformed by both remote work and AI-assisted hiring tools, and for senior professionals with 10 or more years of experience the market looks very different from even three years ago. The function has split: transactional recruiting, coordinating interview schedules and managing ATS workflows, is increasingly automated or outsourced. What remains, and what companies are actively hiring senior TA leaders for remotely, is the strategic layer: building hiring capability, partnering with business leadership on workforce planning, designing candidate experience at scale, and making the organizational changes required to hire distributed teams effectively. Senior TA professionals who have made that transition are in a market with genuinely favorable conditions. Those who have not are competing in a more crowded and more automated space.
