Job description

Company Description

Our client provides a comprehensive home setup service. They understand that moving home is not only exciting but also stressful and emotional. Their shared goal is to make the moving process easier for everyone involved: buyers, sellers, tenants, and landlords. To achieve this, they leverage the latest technology to offer a simple and efficient service. However, it's the friendly and dedicated team behind the advanced technology and on the other end of the phone that truly sets them apart.

About the Role

As Assistant Sales Development Manager, you'll support the Sales Development Manager in leading a growing team of Sales Development Executives (Move Executives). Your primary responsibility is driving team performance — coaching individuals, maintaining high standards, monitoring daily activity, and ensuring every team member consistently delivers high-quality customer conversations that generate qualified sales opportunities. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll spend most of your time supporting agents in real time, developing their capability, and ensuring operational excellence. You'll also act as deputy for the Sales Development Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of a team of Sales Development Executives.
  • Drive achievement of productivity, opportunity creation, and quality targets.
  • Monitor live performance throughout the day and take proactive action to maximise results.
  • Identify performance trends and implement coaching plans. Ensure team members consistently follow company processes and standards.
  • Deliver regular 1-2-1 coaching sessions.
  • Provide real-time coaching and feedback during live customer interactions.
  • Complete quality reviews and coaching observations.
  • Support onboarding and development of new starters.
  • Help build confidence, capability, and consistency across the team.
  • Support daily resource management.
  • Assist with shift adherence and attendance management.
  • Monitor performance dashboards and operational metrics.
  • Escalate risks, issues, and opportunities to the Sales Development Manager.
  • Help maintain high standards of compliance and customer experience.
  • Assist with interviewing new Sales Development Executive candidates.
  • Support onboarding and induction of new team members.
  • Help ensure new starters become productive as quickly as possible.
  • Act as a role model for company culture and performance expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team performance and efficiency.
  • Share ideas to improve processes, coaching, and customer outcomes.
  • Support implementation of new initiatives and operational changes.
  • Contribute to building a high-performance culture across the international team.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience leading, coaching, or mentoring people.
  • A strong telephone sales or sales support background.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong coaching and feedback ability.
  • You can analyse performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working to KPIs and performance targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A positive attitude, with the ability to motivate others.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Previous contact centre Team Leader or Assistant Manager experience.
  • Experience managing remote teams.

  • Recruitment or interviewing experience.
  • Strong ownership and accountability, with a coaching mindset.
