Job description

This is a remote position.

We are a team of experts who specialise in Tech Solutions - System Desk | Business Systems | Digital Strategy | Digital Marketing | Website Support, providing expertise to organisations in transforming their service delivery and operations for today's ever-changing global landscape.


We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

 

Our ideal candidate holds an Accounting degree and is familiar with accounting software packages like Xero, Zoho Books, MYOB, Quickbooks, FreshBooks and knowledge of Zoho Books is an advantage. Bookkeeper job duties include creating and analysing financial reports and ensuring legal requirements compliance, processing of accounts payable and receivable, and managing invoices and tax payments.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the day to day accounting transactions

  • Preparing the monthly accounts

  • Liaising with the external Accountant for annual accounts and tax queries

  • Reconciliation and preparation of monthly, quarterly or annual business activity statements

  • Reconciling bank accounts

  • Managing the accounts payable function including the processing of invoices due for payment

  • Managing the accounts receivable function including the allocation of payments

  • Credit control of overdue payments

  • Processing payroll and other related payroll tasks



Requirements

Requirements 

  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records

  • Experience across a wide range of accounting functions

  • Intermediate computer software skills, hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software including Excel and other financial accounting packages.

  • Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for workload

  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a broader team

  • Ability to solve problems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
