What you’ll be responsible for
You will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of cross-border payment operations. This includes proactively identifying transaction issues, validating pricing and reconciliation accuracy, supporting partner integrations, and driving timely resolution of operational incidents. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain SLA adherence, improve operational workflows, and enhance monitoring and alerting systems.

What you’ll work on

  • Monitor live cross-border payment transactions and escalate stuck, delayed, or rejected flows using defined playbooks

  • Track high-value transactions, volume anomalies, and corridor performance, providing timely operational updates

  • Monitor SLA adherence across payment corridors and partners, flagging breaches and driving resolution

  • Perform transaction-level pricing reconciliation and validate FX, margins, and incentives against source data

  • Maintain and improve reconciliation trackers to ensure data accuracy and auditability

  • Support go-live validation for new integrations, including API checks, wallet validation, and test transactions

  • Investigate transaction anomalies, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to monitoring and workflows


What you’ll bring to Circle
Core Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in fintech, banking, payments operations, or a similar analytical role

  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to query and validate transaction-level data

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies independently

  • High ownership and accountability, with a track record of driving issues through to resolution

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly summarize issues and escalations

  • Experience working with dashboards and tools such as Metabase, Looker, or Google Sheets

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in transaction monitoring, reconciliation, or settlement operations

  • Exposure to cross-border payments, correspondent banking, or multi-currency systems

  • Basic Python or scripting skills for automation and data validation

  • Experience collaborating with Engineering on dashboards, alerting, or data workflows

  • Understanding of payment system architecture, including OFI, network, and BFI layers

  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude, Codex, Cursor) to improve workflows or analysis

This role is based in our Bangalore office and requires employees to work from the office on a regular basis.
