What you’ll be responsible for
You will own the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of critical payment operations processes across pricing, partner activation, and transaction monitoring. This includes building scalable systems, ensuring data accuracy and operational rigor, and driving cross-functional alignment across Product, Business Development, Engineering, and Compliance. You will proactively identify risks, resolve operational gaps, and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability of global payment operations.

What you’ll work on

  • Own and operate end-to-end processes across pricing, activation, and transaction monitoring from design through steady-state execution

  • Build and maintain the pricing Source of Truth (SOT) across BFI and OFI layers, ensuring accuracy through regular validation

  • Design and manage pricing intake and change workflows, including monthly cycles, governance, and communication protocols

  • Validate FX rates, incentives, margins, and revenue share structures against contracts and resolve discrepancies

  • Own activation governance, including due diligence, go-live validation, and corridor activation tracking

  • Define escalation playbooks and monitoring workflows, including triage criteria, SLAs, and escalation paths

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort


What you’ll bring to Circle
Core Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in payments, fintech, banking operations, or consulting

  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, optimize, and validate queries and dashboards

  • Experience building and scaling operational processes in ambiguous or fast-changing environments

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment across Product, BD, and Engineering

  • Analytical and investigative mindset with a focus on root cause analysis and resolution

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear documentation, playbooks, and executive updates

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience designing SOPs, workflows, and operational governance models

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in high-growth fintech or technology environments

  • Familiarity with cross-border payments, FX, settlement, and reconciliation processes

  • Experience with data and BI tools such as Python, Looker, or Metabase

  • Experience building internal tools or workflow automations (e.g., Slack-based workflows)

  • Exposure to compliance, KYC, onboarding, or risk operations

  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude, Codex, Cursor) for automation or analysi

This role is based in our Bangalore office and requires employees to work from the office on a regular basis.
