About the role

The Project Manager Sr (PM) is responsible for managing, directing and overseeing the delivery of assigned projects and programs. The PM provides visible leadership, accountability and authority over high profile projects and programs delivered to Insight clients. The PM works independently and exhibits a high degree of initiative in resolving problems encountered and developing recommended solutions. The PM must be flexible in delivering projects with different methodologies based on client and team needs.  Job responsibilities include:

• Manage project and program teams to deliver highly visibly strategic solutions for our clients using waterfall, hybrid, and agile methodologies.  
• Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation through close-out and transition.  
• Help define and drive strategic direction of both Insight and our clients. 
• Build key relationships with clients and leaders.  
• Mitigate risk and proactively work project issues.  
• Drive tangible and sustainable improvement in PM capabilities. 
• Assist with business development activities to grow Insight Services business.  
• Mentor less experienced Project Managers.

What you’ll need to join Insight:

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university 

• 7 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the IT services, IT Operations or professional services industry.   

• Experience with hybrid methodologies and agile delivery of technical projects.  

• PMP or Agile certification.  

• Track record of success guiding and leading project teams to success.  

• Skills in all aspects of project management lifecycle and critical processes: 

• Project Initiation 

• Planning and Work Breakdown 

• Resource Management 

• Budget Management 

• Stakeholder Management 

• Scope Management 

• Risk Management 

• Must be passionate about continuous improvement.  

• Must be able to manage technical resources working on multiple projects seamlessly.   

• Must be an excellent communicator - both written and oral.   

• Must have excellent customer relationship management skills.

The base salary range for this position is typically $110,000 to $130,000 with additional bonus and benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.
