As PRIME AE continues to expand its capabilities, geographic reach, and leadership bench, this is an exciting time to join a team that is building momentum, investing in growth, and empowering leaders to make a lasting impact.

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Sr. Bridge Project Manager to join our Massachusetts team.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of bridge and structural transportation projects from planning and design through final completion. You will provide technical and project leadership, manage multidisciplinary teams, maintain strong client relationships, and help expand PRIME AE’s bridge practice throughout Massachusetts and the New England region.

What You’ll Do:

As a Sr. Bridge Project Manager, you will manage bridge and structural projects while serving as a key technical and client-facing leader. You will oversee project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and team coordination while ensuring designs meet applicable standards and client requirements.

You will work closely with clients, transportation agencies, consultants, and internal teams while mentoring engineering staff and supporting business development efforts. This position combines project delivery, technical leadership, client management, and practice growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage bridge and structural transportation projects from planning and design through final design and construction support.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, deliverables, contracts, and quality while proactively addressing project risks and challenges.
  • Provide technical leadership for bridge design, rehabilitation, replacement, preservation, inspection-related design, and other structural transportation assignments.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and review plans, calculations, specifications, estimates, reports, and other technical deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and agency partners, maintaining strong relationships and providing clear communication throughout project delivery.
  • Lead and mentor engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, workload coordination, technical oversight, and professional development support.
  • Support business development, proposal preparation, pursuits, presentations, and client relationship management to help grow PRIME AE’s bridge and transportation portfolio.
  • Collaborate with transportation leadership across PRIME AE to identify opportunities, share resources, and successfully deliver projects throughout Massachusetts and the broader region.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
  • Progressive experience in bridge/structural engineering and project management, including responsibility for complex transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, with Massachusetts licensure.
  • Strong technical background in bridge design, rehabilitation, replacement, and structural analysis, with knowledge of applicable AASHTO and transportation agency standards.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, multidisciplinary teams, and technical deliverables.
  • Experience working with state DOTs and other public transportation agencies on bridge and structural projects.
  • Strong client relationship, communication, leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to support business development, proposals, pursuits, and growth of client relationships and project backlog.
  • Prior experience with MassDOT and MBTA is required.

Why PRIME AE:
