About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join Insight's Application Development department. This is a department role rather than a position on a single customer project: the engineer will work across concurrent and successive engagements and is expected to act in the best interest of Insight's stakeholders and customers on each of them. This role is ideal for a full-stack engineer with solid Java and Spring Boot fundamentals and hands-on frontend experience who takes ownership of the work in front of them, fixes problems they find rather than waiting for someone to assign them, contributes to the direction of the team, and already uses AI coding tools as part of daily practice. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior engineers and technical leads on their engagements, Application Development leadership, and customer stakeholders to ensure project success from initial definition through final delivery. The base salary range for this position is typically $120,000 to $140,000 CAD with additional bonus and benefits available. However, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, including experience and location, and we will also consider candidates outside of this range as necessary.
