Performance Management Product Specialist/ Mainframe Performance Migration SME

CTG is seeking to fill a Performance Management Product Specialist / Mainframe Performance Migration SME position for our client.

Location: Remote
Duration: Ongoing Contract

Duties:

• Perform complex mainframe (z/OS) performance management migrations from competitive monitoring products to IBM performance management solutions, including IBM OMEGAMON.

• Analyze existing performance monitoring environments and determine appropriate migration paths, activities, timelines, and effort estimates.

• Develop and maintain technical migration documentation, procedures, and recommendations.

• Investigate performance management requirements and analyze technical information to identify migration solutions.

• Collaborate with project managers, internal teams, contractors, and customer technical staff throughout migration projects.

• Provide technical guidance and support related to mainframe performance monitoring and management.

• Support technical pre-sales activities, including migration assessments and estimates, as needed.

• IBM OMEGAMON

• TSO/ISPF

• REXX programming

• SMP/E

• Mainframe performance monitoring and migration

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with ASG TMON, BMC MainView, or CA SYSVIEW preferred

Experience:

• 5+ years of mainframe (z/OS) experience.

• 5+ years of mainframe Performance Management experience.

• Experience migrating competitive mainframe performance monitoring solutions to IBM OMEGAMON strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of CICS, DB2, IMS, WebSphere MQ, VTAM/TCP/IP networking, and mainframe storage subsystems is a plus.

• Basic z/OS Systems Programming knowledge is preferred.

• Technical pre-sales experience is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent technical experience may be considered.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100.00 to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
