Your role in our team
As our new Senior Project Manager, some of your focus areas will be to head our strategic projects, as well as leading our continuing functional development. This will involve projects where Terma act as prime contractor / systems integrator e.g., within large Maritime projects for our lager Danish customer FMI.
The role will be to function as R&D program manager, where you will lead a large project organization with several sub-projects. In addition to leading the project organization, you will need to manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective collaboration.
To manage expectations and secure alignment, you will build strong partnerships and work closely with customers, internal teams, and other key value chain functions. You will be working across support functions within and throughout the entire supply chain, to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and our customer expectations.
Moreover, you will become part of our continues functional improvement initiative, where this role will act as a lead for one of our functional teams. Functional teams is our framework to secure continuous development within our project management tools, processes, and leadership abilities.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:

- Program leadership: program controlling, managing boundaries, progress & risk management
- Lead cross-functional subprojects through sub-project managers in a matrix organization, driving collaboration and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to scope
- Create understanding and commitment by addressing targets, uncertainties, risks and by managing subsequent corrective actions on time
- Take ownership of the continued development within the project management discipline.
Bring your world class expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement.

- You hold a bachelor’s degree in software, electronics, or mechanical engineering, and you have a strong R&D or engineering mindset
- You have a strong technical background gained through experience, preferably trough large maritime construction & development programs, combined with 10+ years of project management experience
- International work experience is a benefit
- You are able to navigate in a political landscape and are curious about understanding cultural behavior
- You have a good understanding of R&D processes used for software, electronics and mechanics, and you understand R&D working processes and basics
- You have a basic understanding of quality and configuration management within Security and Defense.
