Are you interested in the link between IT and Business and do you want to become part of a growing organization? In this role, you will take ownership of key IT projects, collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, and help turn strategic ambitions into successful outcomes. Come and join us.
We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.
Your role in our team
We are looking for an IT Project Manager to join the IT Strategy and Transformation team. We are embarking on a substantial transformation in IT, and we need you to help execute on exciting projects. The transformation is both IT and business focused and will range from both interesting AI initiatives, process optimization to more technical projects.
You will take end-to-end ownership of prioritized IT projects across the organization, working closely with business stakeholders, IT delivery teams and architects. You will be expected to navigate business complexity, manage senior stakeholders, and ensure that what gets delivered will solve the right problem.
You will operate in a complex organization that is growing, which means your ability to create alignment, drive decisions, and maintain momentum without direct authority will be central to your success.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your role is all about execution and providing business value through project execution. Your primary task is to help Terma navigate through our IT Improvement Roadmap, that will be executed during the next 2-3 years.
Your key responsibilities include:
-
- Contribute to maturing project management standards and practices within the team and across the Terma IT Team (e.g., co-develop IT project model, intake processes)
- Own end-to-end delivery of prioritised IT projects (primarily business focused projects). From initiation and scoping through execution and benefit realisation
- Develop and maintain clear project plans, governance structures, and milestone tracking, with explicit ownership of scope, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Drive cross-functional stakeholder alignment, including business management, process owners, IT specialists and external vendors
- Facilitate decision-making forums and ensure senior stakeholders are kept informed with clear fact-based progress reporting
- Act as a sparring partner for stakeholders on how to scope, prioritise and structure IT initiatives
Bring your world class expertise into play
You are an experienced project manager who is equally comfortable working alongside senior management as well as in project workstreams. You understand IT delivery, but you think about business outcomes. You bring structure into complexity, communicate clearly at all levels, and know how to keep things moving when priorities shift or stakeholders disagree.
Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:
-
- 3+ years of experience delivering complex IT projects, preferably with experience as a management consultant or in a similar role
- Experience working with projects within areas such as AI, CRM, digital transformation or business optimization initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging with and challenging senior business leaders
- A solid project management toolbox (certifications are preferred, not required)
- A commercial mindset with strong understanding of business logics and how digitized workflows can contribute to continued growth of Terma
- Experience coordinating across functions, vendors, and delivery teams without direct authority
As a person, you are a team player and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Moreover, you have excellent communication skills when working with a variety of different stakeholders. You take clear ownership of your tasks and are solution-oriented with an eye for detail.
Application deadline: 17-08-2026
Applications will be processed continuously.
