Job description

Would you like to play a key role in system integration to ensure our environments are reliable, secure, and efficient? In this role, you will work across hardware, software, and infrastructure to support the integration, testing, and delivery platforms that enable development teams to build and validate complex systems. Come and join us!

An exciting future with considerable growth and significant change lies ahead of us. We continue to evolve our advanced technologies and mission-critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry, delivering real-world capability that matters to the security of people on land, at sea, and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for an Advanced Platform Engineer to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose: securing people through advanced technology.

Your role as part of the team

As our new Advanced Platform Engineer, you will play a central role in ensuring integration, test, and delivery platforms operate reliably and efficiently. You will work at the intersection of these domains, contributing both to internal development activities and to customer deliveries. Your work enables development teams to integrate and test complex systems while ensuring environments are built, configured, and verified to a high standard.

In our team, we take pride in growing both our people and our technology. You will join a collaborative and supportive environment where you can share ideas, develop your skills, and take on a variety of meaningful tasks. You will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge and help develop the competencies of less experienced colleagues. We care about the work we do and the people behind it.

Technical skills matter, but your mindset matters even more. You are curious, structured, and analytical in your approach to problem-solving. You thrive in collaboration and enjoy sharing what you know. If that sounds like you, you could be a great addition to our team.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

In this role, you will contribute to a range of tasks across your area of responsibility. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, automate, and maintain build-, integration-, test-, and delivery-infrastructure design, implement, and operate virtual and physical environments supporting integration, verification, and validation activities
  • Prepare, configure, and deliver reference and customer systems, while automating deployment, configuration, and test processes using Configuration as Code
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate software and hardware components into mission-ready solutions
  • Help guide technical direction and best practices across projects and take part in planning and reviews.

Bring your expertise into play

You may come from a software, infrastructure, or system integration background. What matters most is your passion for building robust, automated, and scalable systems. Experience with self-managed, on-premises environments is an advantage.

To thrive in this role, we imagine that you bring some of the following qualifications:

  • Strong experience working with Linux environments (e.g., Red Hat or SUSE)
  • Hands-on experience with Configuration as Code tools such as Ansible
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, system provisioning, and security considerations in automated environments
  • Experience with CI/CD, monitoring tools, mixed Linux/Windows environments, hardware integration, or related technologies is an advantage but not a requirement.

Most importantly, we believe diverse experiences add value to our team and organization. Therefore, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the above requirements.

As we are an international organization, it is important that you are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level.

We are committed to creating a more diverse and balanced workplace that reflects the talent and perspectives around us.
