Job description

Would you like to play a meaningful role in strengthening defense capabilities across Denmark, NATO and the EU? In this role, you will drive business opportunities, build trusted customer relationships, and help transform operational needs into mission-critical solutions. Come and join us!

We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes. We continue to evolve our advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry to deliver real-world solutions that matter to the security of people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

Your role as part of the team

As our new Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business development and sales activities for customer-specific solutions and projects within the Mission Solutions Business Unit. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will manage your own portfolio of customers and prospects, guiding opportunities from initial identification through proposal development, contract negotiation and successful customer engagement.

The Mission Solutions Business Unit delivers Joint Intelligence Surveillance & Reconnaissance systems and products, Combat Management Systems for the Danish Navy, and Integrated Air & Missile Defense Command and Control systems.

In our team we take pride in developing people and technology. You will become part of an experienced Business Development team with a strong team culture, where collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional growth are valued. We care about the work we do and the people behind it.

Technical skills matter, but your mindset matters even more. If you consider yourself service-minded, proactive, relationship-focused, and motivated by creating value for customers and stakeholders across different cultures and disciplines, then you could be a great addition to our team.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

In this role, you will contribute to a range of tasks across your area of responsibility. Your key responsibilities include:

    • Develop, qualify and drive business opportunities from initial customer dialogue through contract negotiation and order intake
    • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline while identifying new opportunities across Danish Defense, NATO and EU defense organizations and industry partners
    • Establish and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships through meetings, networking activities, exhibitions and industry events
    • Prepare and present commercial and technical proposals, translating customer needs into operational and technical solutions
    • Support sales and marketing initiatives, including business cases, campaign activities and customer-facing material, while collaborating across the organization.

Bring your expertise into play

To thrive in this role, we imagine that you bring some of the following qualifications:

    • Experience within business development and sales, preferably in the defense sector, combined with strong commercial understanding
    • Good Understanding of military operational needs
    • The ability to work with customer requirements and drive complex sales processes from opportunity identification to contract award
    • A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree within business, engineering or a related field; however, relevant experience is valued just as highly as formal education
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain ideas and solutions to stakeholders with different technical and cultural backgrounds.

Most importantly, we believe diverse experiences add value to our team and organization. Therefore, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the above requirements.

We welcome applications from both recent graduates and candidates with a few years of relevant experience. What matters most is your commercial curiosity, relationship-building skills and motivation to learn.

As we are an international organization, it is important that you are fluent in both English and Danish, both written and verbal, at a professional level.

Let’s secure people through advanced technology

We are committed to creating a more diverse and balanced workplace that reflects the talent and perspectives around us. By creating an inclusive environment with equal opportunities to contribute, grow, and succeed, we aim to broaden our talent pool and strengthen our teams for the future.
