Job description

Overview

MRI’s Managed Services team provide comprehensive financial processing services across various MRI Software platforms, predominantly transactional data processing for commercial properties.

Based in Australia, the team is supported by a growing team of Emapta resources, to deliver high quality financial reporting and outcomes for clients.

The successful applicant will complete a comprehensive two-week orientation program, followed by hands-on shadowing, with experienced staff, to ensure their success in the new role.

The successful applicant will communicate directly with Australian clients (mainly via email), and report to the Emapta team leader, supported by Australian team managers.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable:

  • Download bank statements daily and receipt to appropriate charges.
  • Update bank reconciliations daily
  • Process ad-charges as required

Accounts Payable:

  • Process anywhere up to 4000 AP invoices monthly across various platforms (namely MRI Property Management X, Nexus Payables, myBuildings).
  • Link invoices to purchase orders
  • Handle exception processing according to documented instructions
  • Header and line item entry (GL account coding will usually be provided)
  • Verify header data from OCR reading and correct any discrepancies
  • Attach copies of invoice images

Other key tasks:

  • Journal entries
  • GL budget entry
  • Assist with end of month reporting and reconciliation processes
  • Set up new leases, buildings and vendors across various platforms
  • Other ad-hoc financial tasks as required by the team

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

  • Previous Australian financial processing experience desirable
  • College graduate in Accounting
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Accuracy when processing large volumes of data
  • Ability to work with speed and precision, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
  • Fast and accurate typing skills are essential.
  • Previous experience in the property industry and/or working on any MRI platforms is an advantage

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential
  • Ability to work methodically on a high volume of tasks to a set schedule
  • Must be proactive in raising issues and seeking assistance where necessary
  • Comfortable in a collaborative environment and be willing to expand their skillset
  • Able to work independently and take initiative while managing workloads efficiently
  • Comfortable working remotely (home or Emapta office) and maintaining productivity with minimal supervision
