Job Description:

At Job Duck, we are seeking an experienced California Trust Administration Paralegal who is passionate about helping clients navigate complex legal matters and ensuring cases move forward efficiently and accurately. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys taking ownership of their caseload, collaborating closely with attorneys, and providing exceptional support throughout every stage of the legal process. You will play a critical role in trust administration, trust management, conservatorship matters, case strategy development, legal document preparation, and client communication. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. • Monthly Compensation Range: From 1,142 to 1,220 USD

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, review, and submit legal forms and court filings.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, experts, financial institutions, and other parties.
  • Schedule legal events, meetings, and case milestones.
  • Coordinate hearing preparation and case readiness activities.
  • Conduct document review and issue identification.
  • Monitor case deadlines, milestones, and upcoming court requirements.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, affidavits, declarations, discovery documents, subpoenas, agreements, and court orders.
  • Handle trust administration and conservatorship matters.
  • Develop legal strategies in collaboration with attorneys.
  • Manage assigned caseloads and ensure matters progress in a timely manner.
  • Provide feedback regarding workflow improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with firm procedures and legal requirements.
  • Support attorneys with hearing, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Assist with document organization, scanning, filing, and records management.
  • Maintain accurate records of billable and non billable time.
  • Provide status updates to clients and legal team members.
  • Maintain and update client files and case management systems.
  • Review California Probate Code, California Rules of Court, and other applicable regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and case analysis relating to trust administration, conservatorships, and probate related matters.
  • Draft correspondence, reports, legal summaries, chronologies, and supporting case documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a paralegal
• In-depth experience with California Trust Administration, Trust Management, and Conservatorship matters is required
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required
• Experience working with California courts, probate procedures, conservatorship matters, and trust administration processes preferred
• Case management expertise

• Expected call volume: Low (about 5 calls per day)
