Our client is a leading Australian provider of warehouse storage solutions with over 40 years of experience. They specialise in designing and supplying high-quality storage systems for industrial warehouses and retail stockrooms, working with over 4,000 customers across Australia and New Zealand.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Design and Drafting candidate will play a critical role in developing comprehensive engineering designs for various projects. This position involves collaborating with sales and projects, ensuring designs meet client requirements, and contributing to the overall project success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Start with concept designs and then Develop detailed engineering designs based on project
  

• specifications and requirements.
  

• Produce accurate and comprehensive BOQ for proposed projects in a timely manner.
  

• Collaborate with Sales to ensure designs meet client expectations, assist in technical questions from the Project delivery team.
  

• Review and analyse technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
  

• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed designs.
  

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  

• Monitor and evaluate project progress and make necessary adjustments to designs.
  

• Ensure timely completion of tasks.
  
  

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualification in Engineering or a related field.
  

• Proven experience in design within the engineering industry.
  

• Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods.
  

• Proficiency in design and estimation software tool. 
  

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  

• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  

• Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
  

• Produce layouts/sections and bay designs with AutoCAD.
  

• Proficiency with Ms Excell and word.
  

• Problem-solving skills.
  

• Ability to read architecture plans.
  

• Take off quantities correctly and on time.
  

• Technical Drawing.
  

• Risk Assessment.
  

• Compliance and Standards Training will be provided.
