Would you like to play a key role in turning data into decisions that matter — building the dashboards and visual reporting layers that drive performance across a global defense and aerospace company? We are looking for a skilled and business-oriented BI developer to drive front-end BI delivery, serving stakeholders across the full value chain. In this hands-on position your output directly shapes how leaders and teams across Terma understand and act on business performance.

Therefore, we are looking for a System Developer within Business Intelligence to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

 

Your role in our team

As our new Systems Developer, you will design, build, and maintain Power BI solutions that translate complex business, operational, and financial data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across our functions and business areas.

You will be the bridge between the business and the data, collaborating closely with stakeholders across the value chain – including sales, business development, project delivery, R&D, executive leadership and finance to evolve KPI frameworks, performance metrics, and business narratives into visual formats. Understanding what decisions need to be made and ensuring the right information is available at the right time. Your solutions will include everything from project performance reviews and pipeline reporting to financial performance management and executive dashboards.

You will join Financial Systems & BI, part of our Performance & Financial Insights function — a team dedicated to bringing structure, insight, and analytical depth to performance management across Terma. You and the BI team will collaborate closely with our IT data infrastructure team on the underlying data models and structures, ensuring the data feeding your reports is fit for purpose.

How you will make a meaningful contribution


Your key responsibilities include:

 

    • Designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports that meet the analytical and reporting needs of stakeholders across sales, supply chain, R&D, and finance
    • Translating business requirements into robust, well-structured BI solutions — working with stakeholders across the value chain from initial scoping and design through to deployment and user adoption
    • Developing DAX measures and calculation logic in close collaboration with IT, turning underlying data into clear, business-ready insight in Power BI
    • Maintaining and continuously improving our front-end BI reporting — covering report quality, consistency, visual standards, and performance optimization
    • Acting as the go-to BI expert within Financial Systems & BI — advising stakeholders on what is possible, guiding self-service capabilities, and enabling broader data literacy across the organisation
    • Contributing to BI standards and best practices within Financial Systems & BI, ensuring consistency and scalability across all reporting output

 

Bring your world class expertise into play

You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:

 

    • A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a similar field of study
    • Preferably between 3–6 years of hands-on experience developing Power BI solutions in a professional, business-facing context
    • Strong proficiency in DAX and SQL, with a structured approach to building robust measures and calculation logic in collaboration with the teams who maintain the underlying data models
    • Experience working as an internal BI resource serving multiple functions or business areas, with the ability to balance competing priorities and manage stakeholder expectations
    • Familiarity with data infrastructure concepts (data warehouses, semantic models, pipelines, star schema) and comfortable working closely with IT on data structure and sourcing
    • A structured, quality-conscious approach to development — you document your work, build for maintainability, and care about the end-user experience

As a person, you are curious, positive, precise, and genuinely interested in what the data is trying to say. You are comfortable moving between the technical and the human side of BI work — equally at home refining a DAX expression and discussing with a business partner what they actually need to see on a page. You take ownership of your deliverables and follow through from design to adoption.
