Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal Technical Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of scalable, high-impact technology solutions within a complex, regulated environment. This role reports directly to the General Manager of the Business Unit and sits at the center of Product, Engineering, and Operations, driving alignment across stakeholders while delivering measurable business outcomes. 
 
You will play a critical role in shaping product strategy, modernizing legacy systems, and ensuring successful execution across a multi-state, multi-tenant operating landscape, where precision, documentation, and compliance are essential to scale.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Lifecycle & Strategy

  • Own the product lifecycle from concept through launch and continuous optimization
  • Translate business priorities into clear technical requirements, user stories, and delivery plans
  • Drive roadmap development aligned to strategic initiatives, modernization efforts, and business goals

Technical Architecture & Integration

  • Partner closely with engineering to design scalable architectures, integrations, and APIs
  • Lead product development efforts that integrate software with physical hardware components, including self-service systems

Multi-State Compliance & Documentation

  • Own and standardize product and operational documentation across multiple statejurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with state-specific requirements
  • Translate varying state regulations and workflows into scalable product requirements and repeatable processes
  • Support delivery of complex, multi-state programs in regulated environments

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the connective tissue across product, engineering, operations, and external partners
  • Contribute to vendor strategy, including evaluation, onboarding, and performance management

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead prioritization across features, enhancements, and defects to maximize revenue, retention, and operational efficiency
  • Identifyand execute opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve system performance
  • Define success metrics and use data to inform decisions and continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in product management or technical program management
  • Strong technical fluency including APIs, system architecture, integrations, and SaaS platforms
  • Experience working in multi-state or highly regulated environments requiring detailed documentation and compliance alignment
  • Proven ability to create, manage, and scale documentation that supports product delivery, operations, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience working with hardware-integrated products, preferablyinself-service kiosk environments
  • Experience translating business requirements into solutions that span both software and physical systems
  • Experience building or managing products in a multi-tenant environment, with an understanding of tenant configuration, data separation, and scalable architecture
  • Background in government, fintech, automotive, or similarly regulated industries
  • Experience managing state-by-state product variations within a unified, multi-tenant platform
  • Direct experience with self-service kiosk platforms, unattended systems, or hardware ecosystems
  • Experience building scalable documentation frameworks or playbooks acrossjurisdictions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability tooperatein complex, cross-functional environments with competing priorities
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern development practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to bring clarity to complexity and structure to ambiguity
  • Systems-thinking approach, not siloed thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, not authority
  • Focus on outcomes, not just delivery
  • Ability to balance speed with precision in regulated environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud environments (AWS), and system migrations

Work Environment:

  • Office setting with a moderate noise level.
  • The employee will work at an individual workstation, using a telephone and a computer

Physical Demands:


This is primarily a desk-based, office role with the following physical demands:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
  • Visual acuity to read documents and computer screens
  • Ability to use standard office equipment (keyboard, mouse, phone)
  • Occasional travel to meet with teams, vendors, and stakeholders across multiple states
  • Ability to attend meetings and present to various audiences
