Job description

NerdWallet is looking for a contract HR Coordinator to join our growing People Team. You will be part of a team of HR professionals that care deeply about providing a great employee experience so our Nerds can do their best work. As a contract HR Coordinator you will be an important part of helping to execute on integral tasks and key projects and programs. This is a six-month contract.

  • Own HR related day-to-day administrative tasks such as updating and ensuring accuracy of employee files and data, various audits, and other HR related projects.
  • Welcome new Nerds to the company and help facilitate orientation
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
  • Manage projects and work with key stakeholders on partner teams, such as Recruiting, IT, Accounting, and Workplace Operations
  • Collaboration on special projects, as needed
  • Flexible: You are comfortable with change and ambiguity, understanding that business priorities shift and that your role and responsibilities can change over time
  • Collaborative: You value working in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with other people on projects and initiatives
  • Resilient: Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with an aptitude for time management, organization and communication

  • Detail-oriented: Achieve thoroughness and accuracy when completing a task, and make a conscious effort to understand causes instead of just the effects
  • Strong Communication: Build effective working relationships with teams through clear, reliable verbal and written communication
  • Dependable: Possess a strong understanding and ability to handle confidential information
  • 3-4 years minimum HR experience
  • Familiarity with Google applications, Workday, Slack, and Zendesk
