5+ years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting support roles
Strong hands-on experience with Xero and Microsoft Excel
Proven experience managing multiple clients or entities with solid payroll experience (leave, PAYG, and super)
Working knowledge of GST, BAS, and month-end close processes; experience with Hubdoc or similar tools; MYOB or Deputy a bonus

We’re now hiring an AU Senior Bookkeeper (Remote) to support one of our accounting firm clients. This is a role for someone who values accuracy, ownership, and professional judgment — not shortcuts or chaos.
About the Role
You’ll manage a portfolio of 20+ SME clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting support. This is a senior, hands-on role where your experience, attention to detail, and ability to spot issues early really matter.
You’ll work independently, follow clear processes, and be trusted to manage your workload with professionalism and care.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of 20+ small to medium business clients.
Act as a reliable, day-to-day accounting contact for clients.
Apply strong double-entry accounting principles with confidence.
Process end-to-end payroll, including:
Annual, personal/sick, and long service leave calculations.
PAYG withholding and superannuation.
Employee commencements and terminations.
Assist with GST and BAS preparation and compliance.
Support the monthly close process, including:
Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations.
Intercompany reconciliations.
Investigation and correction of discrepancies.
Maintain clean, accurate, and audit-ready general ledger files.
Maintain fixed asset registers and supporting documentation.
