Job description

We are a dedicated Squad on a mission to redefine Swiss watchmaking, rooted in our legacy since 1884. Driven by innovation and precision we create timepieces that combine modern-retro design with casual, approachable, and sustainable luxury — powered by passionate teams around the world.

We are a team of 7 at our Breitling boutique on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich, and we are looking for our next colleague to complete our Squad!

As our Assistant Boutique Manager, you will work closely with the Boutique Manager to drive boutique performance, develop the team, and deliver exceptional client experiences. Beyond supporting daily operations, you will play an active role in building and retaining a loyal client base through clienteling, CRM initiatives, and engaging boutique events. This is an opportunity to combine your passion for luxury retail and sales with people leadership, contributing to the continued success of our boutique and the growth of our #Squad.

Your contribution:

Client and Business Development

  • You will build and develop a loyal clientele by leveraging CRM tools, including Salesforce, to strengthen client relationships and drive repeat business.

  • You will develop a strong client portfolio, identify new prospects, and maximise the potential of our broad product assortment.

  • You will capitalise on our brand equity through impactful visual merchandising, in-boutique events with local ambassadors, and partnership activations.

  • You will plan and execute engaging boutique events that create memorable client experiences in an inclusive atmosphere.

  • You will identify opportunities for improvement by understanding client needs, analysing market trends, and monitoring competitor activities.

  • You will ensure impeccable after-sales service in line with company standards and contribute to a seamless client journey.

Team Management and Reporting

  • You will foster a client-centric mindset within your Squad to deliver the highest standards of customer experience.

  • You will translate business objectives into clear, achievable team and individual targets, monitoring performance and driving results.

  • You will report to the local headquarters, providing regular updates on boutique performance, business developments, and key priorities.

  • You will monitor daily performance and relevant KPIs, manage the boutique budget, and identify opportunities to improve commercial results.

  • You will create a positive and inclusive work environment, empowering and coaching your team according to individual needs.

  • You will ensure exceptional brand and product knowledge across the Squad through ongoing coaching, training, and development.

  • You will identify, recruit, and develop talent to strengthen the team and support future growth.

  • You will ensure the team consistently represents the Breitling image, including adherence to uniform standards and brand guidelines.

  • You will balance strong people leadership with a hands-on approach to sales and client engagement.

You will fit well to our Squad if:

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in boutique management, ideally within the luxury industry.

  • You have proven experience in people management, including coaching, developing, and motivating a team.

  • You have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic retail environment.

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong client-centric mindset.

  • You are a collaborative team player who leads by example and inspires others to deliver their best.

  • You have an established network within the luxury industry and understand the importance of clienteling and relationship building.

  • You are comfortable working with KPIs, analysing business performance, and managing budgets.

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • You are fluent in both English and German, written and spoken.
