Job Summary

The Quote Analyst supports pricing management through quotes, assigned to specific agencies and/or markets within defined limits of authority. This role primarily focuses on processing customer quotes efficiently and accurately while ensuring compliance with company policies and pricing guidelines. A key aspect of the role is the ability to navigate and utilize Power BI dashboards to support data-driven decision-making and quoting accuracy. The Quote Analyst also assists in resolving pricing-related order holds to streamline workflows and reduce delays.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Primary Focus on Quote Processing: Assist in managing pricing through quotes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Quote Management: Review and process customer requests for quotes, including Order Hold Clearing under supervision.
  • Data Utilization: Navigate and extract insights from Power BI dashboards to ensure data-driven quoting accuracy
  • Quote Preparation: Develop and deliver timely, professional, and precise quotes tailored to customer needs.
  • Pricing-Related Order Holds: Handle and resolve order holds related specifically to pricing, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal disruptions.
  • Documentation: Maintain records of quotes and customer interactions accurately.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales and operations teams to facilitate smooth quoting processes.
  • Performance Metrics Management:
  • Quote Turnaround Time: Ensure prompt responses to customer quote requests to maintain high service levels.
  • Quote Accuracy: Deliver precise and accurate quotes to align with customer needs and company goals.
  • Win Rate: Aim for a high conversion rate of quotes to successful deals.
  • Price Realization: Achieve targeted pricing outcomes through effective quoting strategies.
  • Revenue Growth: Contribute to overall sales and revenue targets through impactful quoting activities.
  • Margin Expansion: Focus on improving profit margins while maintaining competitive pricing.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Pricing and Product Updates: Regularly manage and update pricing and product information to reflect current standards and market trends.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry standards in all quoting activities.
  • Tool Utilization: Leverage Power BI dashboards to provide insights and guide strategic pricing decisions.
  • Record Maintenance: Keep detailed documentation of quotes and customer communications to support reporting and audits.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • Communication and Negotiation: Clear verbal and written communication skills to support customer interactions and provide accurate information.
  • Analytical Abilities: Intermediate problem-solving and data analysis skills to assist in pricing decisions and quote preparation
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and quoting activities.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage workload efficiently, meet deadlines, and work effectively under supervision.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to effectively navigate and utilize the organization’s quoting software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams for daily tasks, reporting, and collaboration; ability to create presentations and effectively communicate data insights when needed.

Travel Requirements

  • 1-20%

The range for this position is $68,600.00 to $148,000.00 USD. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
