Social Media Manager for a Community Organization in the US (Home Based Part Time)

• Edit short-form video content (Reels, clips) for Instagram and X
• Edit long-form content for the podcast/sports center
• Post and manage content across Instagram and X on a consistent schedule
• Tag athletes, schools, teams, and relevant accounts on posts to increase reach and engagement
• Build and manage a monthly content calendar for client review ahead of posting
• Grow followers and traffic, with a focus on reaching a junior high and high school audience
• Create marketing content and promotion for magazine releases and other projects as they launch
• Run and manage paid promotions on X within the client's set budget
• Track analytics (follower growth, audience demographics, engagement) and share regular performance reports
• Learn the brand, voice, and audience in the first week to keep content aligned with existing branding

Must Haves

• Strong video editing skills for both short-form and long-form content (top priority)
• Proven experience growing social media accounts, with portfolio examples or metrics to show results
• Solid understanding of Instagram and X best practices, including tagging, hashtags, and posting strategy
• Experience using analytics to guide content and audience targeting
• Ability to work independently
• Strong English communication skills

Nice to Haves

• Experience with sports, athletics, or youth-focused brands
• Experience targeting a teen (junior high/high school) demographic
• Podcast editing experience
• Graphic design skills for promotional content (magazine launches, billboard announcements)

Home Office Requirements
