Genesis10 is currently seeking an Everest Platform SME - Remote position with a Leading Asset Management Firm located in New York, NY or Austin, TX. This is a 5 month contract opportunity.
We are seeking an experienced Everest Trading Platform Consultant for a hands-on production support and troubleshooting role supporting the Everest platform and its surrounding post-trade environment. The consultant will manage and investigate issues raised by business users, using strong knowledge of Everest, post-trade workflows, and advanced SQL to identify root causes and drive issues through resolution within a legacy technology environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day production and operational support for the Everest platform and related post-trade workflows
- Manage a high-volume queue of inquiries, incidents, and requests from Operations, Trading, Compliance, and other internal users
- Triage and troubleshoot issues involving trade booking, allocations, reconciliation, settlement, and downstream processing
- Use advanced SQL to query legacy databases, trace transactions, investigate data discrepancies, and identify root causes of system and trade-processing issues
- Investigate issues across Everest and connected systems to determine whether problems originate from data, integrations, platform behavior, or operational processes
- Support workflows across multiple asset classes, including bonds, loans, and equities
- Troubleshoot issues involving broker accounts, clearing brokers, executing brokers, and allocation-based workflows
- Work within a legacy technology environment where system documentation, application visibility, and access to underlying code may be limited
- Clearly document investigations, findings, workarounds, and resolutions
- Escalate application defects, integration issues, and system-change requirements to engineering teams and/or the platform vendor with detailed supporting information
- Communicate technical issues and resolutions clearly to senior business users in a post-trade and investment operations context
- Identify recurring issues and opportunities for process improvement or automation and partner with engineering teams on longer-term solutions
- Provide stable day-to-day platform support, allowing internal technology resources to remain focused on modernization and strategic initiatives
Requirements:
- Prior hands-on Allvue Everest experience is required along with experience with modern technology stack experience (Java and or Python)
- 5 years of experience in post-trade application support, production support, investment operations technology, or a closely related role within a hedge fund, asset manager, private equity firm, or financial institution
- Strong understanding of post-trade workflows, particularly trade booking, allocation, reconciliation, and settlement
- Advanced SQL skills are mandatory, including the ability to independently query complex relational databases and investigate trade and transaction data
- Experience supporting post-trade workflows for products such as bonds, loans, and equities
- Understanding of broker accounts, executing brokers, clearing brokers, and allocation-based processing
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex production issues and performing root-cause analysis
- Experience working in legacy or vendor-managed environments where access to application code and system information may be limited
- Ability to manage a high volume of production issues while appropriately prioritizing business-critical requests
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact directly with Operations, Trading, Compliance, and senior business stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguous problems without clearly defined troubleshooting procedures
Desired skills:
- Experience supporting Everest within a hedge fund or alternative asset management environment
- Experience with middle-office or back-office investment technology
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle data and downstream integrations
- Experience supporting system migrations, platform modernization, or integration initiatives
- Familiarity with Python, Java, APIs, or scripting is beneficial for understanding surrounding systems, but this is not a coding-focused position
