Senior Data Engineer

Centex Technologies is seeking a strong Senior Data Engineer to support our work with the Air Force.  

Build the Air Force Data Mesh Environment by combining reliable data engineering with modern application development. The role supports governed discovery, access, and interoperability for distributed data products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable ETL and ELT pipelines, data models, and orchestration workflows using tools such as Airflow, Dagster, dbt, and Python.
• Develop application features and APIs with TypeScript, React, and Node.js that make governed data usable.
• Apply SQL, warehouse platforms, validation, observability, and automated tests throughout the data lifecycle.
• Work with product, DevOps, infrastructure security, and mission stakeholders to turn requirements into maintainable software.
• Design secure access and handling for sensitive data consistent with project security requirements.

• US Citizen
• Active Secret clearance.
• Demonstrated experience spanning both data infrastructure and full stack application development.
• Strong TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, warehousing, and orchestration experience.
• Experience with API design, containerization, and engineering quality practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Python data tools, stream processing, or event driven architecture.
• Production ML integration, RAG or LLM applications, and MLOps.
• Experience with CUI, NIST controls, STIGs, or DoD authorized environments.
