Your role as part of the team

As our new Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the development of innovative defense and security solutions through systems engineering activities across a diverse portfolio of R&D projects. You will work with requirements analysis, system architecture development, modelling, technical studies, and technology maturation while collaborating with internal experts, customers, industry partners, and research organizations across Europe.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

In this role, you will contribute to a range of tasks across your area of responsibility. Your key responsibilities include:

• • Contribute to the development of innovative defense and security solutions through systems engineering activities
  • Support requirements analysis, system architecture development, modelling activities, technical studies, and concept evaluations
  • Perform technical analyses, trade-off studies, and engineering assessments to support informed decision-making and technology maturation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, customers, industry partners, and research organizations across national and European initiatives
  • Contribute to system integration activities, proposal development, and the successful execution of collaborative R&D projects
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and future capability needs to support innovation.

Bring your expertise into play

To thrive in this role, we imagine that you bring some of the following qualifications:

• • Advanced degree (PhD preferred, MSc candidates are also encouraged to apply) in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and technical development processes
  • Ability to develop and assess system architectures, technical concepts, and complex engineering solutions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary environments
  • Interest in innovative technologies, complex defense and security systems, and international project collaboration.
