Senior Functional Consultant — Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations

International Microsoft consulting organization specialized in digital transformation, CRM, ERP and cloud solutions, helping organizations optimize business processes through Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related technologies. The client has a large and ongoing portfolio of Project Operations and Field Service projects, with continuous demand for experienced specialists in these areas.

The Role
We're looking for a senior functional consultant with extensive practical experience in Dynamics 365 Project Operations and, ideally, strong Field Service experience as well. This is a hands-on functional consulting role — not presales, not a certification-level position. You'll be expected to speak concretely about what you've personally delivered and owned in real customer environments.

What you'll be doing

• Analyzing complex business, service and project processes and translating them into scalable, practical solutions

• Independently leading functional consulting activities: requirements gathering, workshops, process analysis, functional design and configuration

• Advising customers on process improvements and solution choices, including challenging requirements where needed

• Hands-on configuration and optimization, plus support for testing, training, go-live and post-go-live

• Working closely with developers, architects and integration specialists to align functional, technical and integration requirements

• Identifying risks and dependencies early, communicating them proactively with concrete evidence

• Assessing change impact carefully and asking the right questions before implementation

• Taking ownership and driving continuous improvement in a multidisciplinary, international team

• Delivering within scope, budget and timeline while maintaining strong customer relationships

What we're looking for

• Extensive hands-on Dynamics 365 Project Operations experience — this is the top priority, with real implementation experience across customer environments (not theoretical, certification-only, or presales exposure)

• Strong practical understanding of core PO processes: project management, resource scheduling, time and expense management, budgeting and forecasting

• Genuine functional consulting seniority — comfortable owning customer-facing functional work independently, day to day

• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, customer workshops, process analysis, functional design, configuration, testing, implementation and customer guidance

• Strong integrations knowledge — understanding how D365 interacts with surrounding systems, and the ability to work effectively with developers and integration specialists on data flows and dependencies

• 3+ years of substantial experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement

• Enough technical understanding to discuss implications and dependencies with developers, without being primarily a developer yourself

• Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder management skills, including advising and challenging stakeholders

• Excellent English communication skills

• Professional experience actively using GitHub Copilot as part of your working process

• Comfortable working fulltime in a remote setup

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional/intellectual level

Nice to have

• Extensive hands-on Dynamics 365 Field Service experience (work orders, scheduling, agreements, inventory, mobile) — the combination of deep PO and FS expertise is especially valuable

• Experience with PSA solutions and professional services business processes

• Multiple end-to-end D365 implementations, including larger/enterprise-scale projects

• Strong Dataverse and broader Microsoft platform knowledge

• Experience in international Microsoft consulting environments

• Experience advising on organizational change and business process optimization

• Experience with AI-assisted development or consulting tooling more broadly
