ARC operates out of 4 regions in Canada–Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Regina and in the US - and services a broad base of private and public sector clients. Service delivery is focused in five main technology solution verticals: Systems Delivery, Enterprise Information Management, Mobile Solutions, Training and Managed Services; with industry expertise in Energy, Utilities, Government, Financial Services and the Public Sector.

ARC Business Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Functional Consultant to join our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central practice on a contract basis. This is a remote role. The successful candidate will lead functional workstreams on Business Central implementation and support engagements, working directly with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective, well-configured solutions, while providing guidance to junior team members.

ROLE:  Senior Functional Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Responsibilities:
  • Lead requirements-gathering workshops with client stakeholders to define business processes and system requirements.
  • Design, configure, and document Business Central solutions across core functional areas, including Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Purchasing, and Inventory.
  • Develop functional and design specifications, partnering with technical consultants and developers to scope customizations, integrations, and extensions.
  • Lead or support data migration activities, including data mapping, cleansing, and validation.
  • Coordinate and execute system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), and resolve issues identified throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training, including training materials, job aids, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
  • Provide go-live and post-go-live support, including troubleshooting, process optimization, and hypercare coverage.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying opportunities to improve business processes through Business Central functionality.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing, methodology, and best practices.
  • Support pre-sales activities as needed, including solution demonstrations, estimating, and scoping input.
  
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on functional consulting experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV).
  • Demonstrated experience leading full-cycle ERP implementations, including requirements analysis, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
  • Strong functional knowledge of core Business Central modules, such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Purchasing, and Sales.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into clear functional design documentation.
  • Solid understanding of ERP data structures, with experience supporting data migration activities.
  • Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and workshop-facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver across concurrent engagements.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certification(s).
  • Familiarity with Business Central AL extensions and the Business Central development environment, sufficient to scope and review technical solutions.
  • Experience with Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) in a Business Central context.
  • Prior consulting experience with public sector, utility, or municipal government clients.
  • Experience with common Business Central ISV add-ons (e.g., Jet Reports, Continia).
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
