Job Title: Business Configuration Analyst I

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Configuration Analyst I (BCA I) role within the Implementations team supports the configuration and maintenance of CareMetx hub, pharmacy, and adherence platform components. Under the guidance of senior analysts, this role assists in setting up system settings, communication templates, and operational workflows that enable client-specific patient services programs. The BCA I is an entry-level position focused on building foundational skills in platform configuration, system validation, and healthcare hub operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in configuring CareMetx platform components to support client-specific program workflows and operational needs, under the guidance of senior analysts.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining operational UI settings, communication templates, queues, and delivery and business rules.
  • Execute routine configuration changes to support business-as-usual program updates and enhancements under supervision.
  • Participate in program validation activities prior to go-live and accompanying system or configuration changes.
  • Support the Solution Architect and Operations Lead by assisting in the translation of workflow and communication requirements into system configurations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting configuration or communication issues impacting hub operations, escalating complex issues to senior analysts as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of configuration standards and testing practices, actively pursuing BCA II responsibilities, competencies, and skills.
  • Assist in monitoring the health of systems enabling program operations and support appropriate corrective actions.
  • Produce and maintain configuration documentation, test scripts, and other materials required for program setup and ongoing support.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, including being present, on time, and prepared for work as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned - Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in system configuration, application administration, or a related technical role preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, information systems, or technology preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Exposure to healthcare, patient support, or hub services environments is a plus.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic knowledge of hub, pharmacy, and/or adherence services such as patient enrollment, benefits investigation, prior authorization, or copay assistance.
  • Exposure to configuring healthcare, patient support, or CRM platforms, or case management tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with operational workflows and communications in healthcare or patient services environments.
  • Ability to translate client and patient needs into structured operational and system requirements.
  • Experience documenting workflows, business requirements, and system configurations.
  • Basic understanding of system configuration, UI setup, or application administration.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies, UAT, or system monitoring processes preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with a commitment to accuracy in all configuration work.
  • Comfortable working in structured environments with multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Developing problem-solving mindset, able to identify issues and seek guidance to resolve them.
  • Collaborative and communicative, works well within technical and operational teams.
  • Demonstrates accountability for the accuracy and timeliness of assigned work.
