Job description

Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Email Marketing Specialist

Compensation range: $1,800 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: Our client is an Australian veterinary healthcare business focused on providing compassionate, high-quality care for pets and their families. The organisation operates modern veterinary facilities supported by experienced veterinary, nursing, and support teams, with services spanning emergency care, general practice, surgery, diagnostics, and specialist treatment.

With a strong focus on accessible care, teamwork, and patient outcomes, the business operates in a fast-paced environment where professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail are highly valued. The team is committed to supporting both pets and their owners through everyday healthcare needs as well as more complex and urgent situations.

Role Overview: Our client is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to take ownership of email campaigns and help drive customer engagement, lead nurturing, and conversions. This role will manage the end-to-end email marketing process, from planning and audience segmentation through to campaign creation, scheduling, testing, and performance analysis.

The ideal candidate is both creative and data-driven, with a strong understanding of email marketing best practices and the ability to turn insights into effective campaigns. You’ll work closely with the wider marketing team to develop relevant, engaging content that supports business goals and delivers measurable results.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, and execute email marketing campaigns aligned with business and marketing objectives
  • Develop engaging email copy and content that drives opens, clicks, engagement, and conversions
  • Build and manage email campaigns, newsletters, automated sequences, and customer journeys
  • Segment email lists based on customer behaviour, demographics, engagement, and other relevant criteria
  • Set up and manage email automations, workflows, triggers, and lead nurturing sequences
  • Maintain and regularly clean email databases to ensure data accuracy and list health
  • Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, CTAs, layouts, and send times to improve performance
  • Monitor campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, unsubscribe rates, and deliverability
  • Analyse campaign results and provide recommendations to improve future campaigns
  • Coordinate with marketing, sales, and content teams to ensure consistent messaging across channels
  • Ensure emails are mobile-friendly, visually engaging, and aligned with brand guidelines
  • Manage campaign calendars, scheduling, and email deployment
  • Stay up to date with email marketing trends, deliverability requirements, and industry best practices
  • Troubleshoot campaign, automation, and deliverability issues as needed
  • Prepare regular reports and communicate key insights and performance trends to management

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing or a similar digital marketing role
  • Strong understanding of email marketing principles, customer segmentation, automation, and lead nurturing
  • Experience using email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, GoHighLevel, or similar
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging email content
  • Experience with email automation, workflows, customer journeys, and campaign scheduling
  • Understanding of email deliverability, list hygiene, spam prevention, and unsubscribe requirements
  • Comfortable analysing campaign data and using insights to improve performance
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion optimisation
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing links, formatting, personalisation, and campaign settings
  • Basic understanding of HTML and email design is an advantage
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of email marketing activities
  • Proactive, analytical, and commercially minded, with a focus on measurable results

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
