Job description

Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a Systems Analyst in a remote capacity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

Position Overview
The Systems Analysis Specialist serves as a liaison between business and technology teams, analyzing business requirements, data, reporting, and operational processes. This role develops and supports reporting solutions, improves data quality, automates processes, and helps modernize enterprise technology and reporting environments.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with data analysis, SQL, Tableau, SSRS, SSIS, requirements gathering, and functional testing, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements in Agile environments.
  • Translate business processes and workflows into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Develop and enhance complex SSRS reports and Tableau dashboards.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize T-SQL queries and SSIS packages.
  • Perform functional, regression, and negative testing; support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Analyze existing data, processes, and reporting solutions and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with developers, data engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders on technical delivery.
  • Support migration of legacy reporting assets to enterprise-supported platforms.
  • Improve data integration, reporting performance, reliability, scalability, and governance.
  • Support enterprise data warehouse/Datamart environments and reporting strategy.
  • Document business logic, data lineage, processes, and technical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and reduce technical debt.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years T-SQL / MS SQL experience; advanced SQL required, including complex JOINs, subqueries, stored procedures, indexes, temp tables, CTEs, and query optimization.
  • 3+ years Tableau experience.
  • 3+ years SSRS development experience, including drilldowns, drillthroughs, dynamic groupings, document maps, and complex report design.
  • 3+ years functional, regression, and negative testing experience.
  • 3+ years SSIS experience, including troubleshooting, debugging, metadata, properties, and package design.
  • 5+ years data analysis and mining experience.
  • 5+ years requirements gathering experience in Agile environments.
  • Experience with enterprise data warehouses, Datamarts, ETL, data integration, and production reporting environments.
  • Experience documenting business logic and data lineage.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
  • TD SQL
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Healthcare, Medicare/Medicaid, Utilization Management, Medical Management, Population Health, or related experience
  • Healthcare operational reporting modernization
  • Reporting asset migration and enterprise reporting consolidation
  • Vendor data integrations and SFTP
  • HEDIS, Stars, Clinical Reporting, or SNP Model of Care experience
  • Experience with Medicare Advantage organizations
