Technical Delivery Lead

Your mission

Role Purpose
The Technical Lead is responsible for the end-to-end technical coordination and execution of an approved solution, ensuring that all technical workstreams are delivered in accordance with the agreed architecture, design standards, security requirements, and project objectives.
The role acts as the single point of technical accountability for the project and coordinates the activities of multiple technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, platforms, and third-party suppliers to ensure successful implementation and transition into service.
The Technical Lead sits beneath the Project Manager and acts as the primary technical owner for delivering the approved solution, coordinating multiple SMEs across infrastructure, network, security, cloud, and platform teams.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Coordination

• Lead the technical delivery of the project from design through implementation and transition.
• Coordinate and direct the activities of infrastructure, network, security, cloud, and platform SMEs.
• Ensure all technical teams understand dependencies, milestones, risks, and delivery expectations.
• Facilitate technical workshops, design reviews, implementation planning sessions, and technical decision-making.
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues and escalate where necessary.

• Ensure implementation aligns with the approved High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), architecture standards, and security requirements.
• Maintain technical integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve technical deliverables produced by SMEs and third-party vendors.
• Act as the primary liaison between the project team, architects, operations teams, and vendors on technical matters.

• Develop and maintain the technical delivery plan for all workstreams.
• Identify technical dependencies, sequencing requirements, resource needs, and environmental prerequisites.
• Coordinate technical testing activities including: 
  • Infrastructure testing
  • Network validation
  • Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT)
  • Disaster Recovery testing
  • Security validation
  • Performance and resilience testing

• Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies.
• Manage technical issues impacting delivery timelines, quality, or operational readiness.
• Provide technical status updates to the Project Manager and governance forums.
• Support project escalation and decision-making processes.

• Own preparation of technical implementation plans and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
• Coordinate technical change requests through CAB processes.
• Validate rollback procedures and recovery plans.
• Ensure deployment activities are executed in a controlled and auditable manner.

• Ensure support teams are engaged early in the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate production of operational documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and support procedures.
• Verify monitoring, alerting, backup, resilience, and support requirements are in place.
• Obtain operational acceptance before go-live.

• 7+ years of infrastructure, cloud, network, or platform engineering experience.
• 3+ years leading technical delivery of complex enterprise projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams comprising infrastructure, network, security, cloud, application, and supplier resources.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale Microsoft-based solutions from design through implementation and transition to support.
• Experience working within regulated environments with strong governance, security, and change-management requirements.
• Experience managing technical dependencies, risks, issues, and implementation planning across multiple workstreams.
• Experience working with third-party service providers and managed service partners.

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tooling.

• Enterprise networking fundamentals, including WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, Internet, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and load balancing.
• Hybrid cloud architecture and connectivity.
• Datacentre and cloud migration projects.
• Infrastructure resiliency and disaster recovery solutions.
• Enterprise monitoring and operational support models.
• Technology lifecycle and platform governance.
