Senior Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer to join our team full-time in LATAM.

About the role:

As a Senior Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. You will build and ship LLM-powered agents, design evaluations, and integrate systems while maintaining high quality and guardrails.

Responsibilities:

• Build and ship LLM-powered agents and workflows on the paved path (templates, pipeline, guardrails)

• Write and run evals for everything built; ensure no system ships without passing its suite

• Integrate with GoodRx systems and data sources; instrument for cost and quality telemetry

• Pair with business users to iterate quickly inside bounded scopes

• Coach/supervise team members on prompt engineering, context management, and LLM best practices

Requirements:

• Software Design:

• Deep understanding of agentic architectures, RAG systems, tool-use design, and context engineering

• Experience designing reliable LLM workflows and prompt strategies that survive real-world contact with users

Software Development:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2.5+ years building LLM applications in production

• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, with excellent API craftsmanship

• Ships fast without skipping safety, quality, or operational guardrails

Quality Assurance:

• Non-negotiable ability to write and run rigorous LLM evaluations (evals) as a core part of the build process

• Experience instrumenting applications for cost and quality telemetry

Software Deployment & Domain Knowledge:

• Hands-on experience with LLM deployment pipelines, templates, and production guardrail integration

• Bonus / Nice to have: Depth in Retrieval/IR (for assistant-facing work), experience handling healthcare data, and cost-optimization practices
