Wilderness Medical Staffing is a leading locum tenens healthcare staffing agency specializing in providing skilled nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physicians to underserved rural and remote communities in Alaska and the Northwestern United States. Our mission is to ensure access to quality healthcare services in these challenging regions, bridging the gap between healthcare professionals and the communities in need.

 

Position Overview:

 

Now we are looking for the newest member of the Wilderness Medical Staffing team! The Operation Associate’s mission is to ensure that our job placements are a success by offering excellent customer service to our healthcare providers and clients, while coordinating assignment logistics, including:

 


  • Hospital credentialing for providers 

  • Provider onboarding – collecting all relevant information and documentation from healthcare providers 

  • Contracts 

  • Travel  

  • Lodging 

  • Phone call and email management 

  • Assignment detail tracking 

  • Database management (CRM) 

  • Document organization and management 

  • WMS team collaboration with our other internal departments 

 

Your role as an Operations Associate will include exceeding client and medical provider expectations with an amazing level of service. We want someone who can develop relationships with our medical providers and healthcare facilities by maintaining high levels of trust and rapport.

Qualifications:

 


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience

  • The competencies above

  • Experience in the healthcare field preferred

  • Experience keeping regular and detailed documentation

  • Track record of success in previous positions

  • Excellent computer skills and experience including Microsoft Office

 

Remote (Work-From-Home) Requirements:

 


  • Must be able to work and keep normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8AM – 5PM Pacific Daylight Time).

  • Dedicated work-from-home space (quiet, private).

  • Must have high-speed internet for video calls and daily job requirements. 

  • This is a remote position. You must be a self-starter who is disciplined and able to manage a busy schedule without direct, in-person supervision.

 

Compensation:

 


  • Pay: $24 - $26 per hour DOE

  • Additional Compensation: Quarterly profit sharing

  • Benefits: Package that includes health insurance, PTO, 401(k), and an in-person annual team retreat!

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
