Job Overview:
TalentCross is helping our US-based tech client hire a Mid-Level Front-End Engineer to build and maintain web and native applications. You'll work on high-impact projects, solve technical challenges, and collaborate across teams to deliver clean, scalable code. This fully remote role is open to LATAM-based engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy crafting smooth, user-friendly experiences.

Our US-based client is a media and technology company focused on making the music industry more transparent and connected. They build innovative tools that help music professionals access insights, streamline workflows, and grow their careers.

Responsibilities:

Product Engineering & Development

• Develop and maintain front-end solutions for web and native applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pre- and post-release product issues.
• Implement automated testing to ensure system resilience and product stability.
• Optimize and analyze metrics related to product features to drive continuous
  improvements.
• Contribute to technical discussions and engineering problem-solving.

Day-to-Day Tasks

• Write, review, and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve product and business goals.
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
• Enhance team dynamics and efficiency through strong communication and
  collaboration.
• Understand the business impact of engineering decisions.

Tools & Platforms Used:

• Frameworks & Languages: React, React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS
• Build & Deployment: Expo, EAS, Github, Github Actions, CI/CD
• Infrastructure & Monitoring: Google Cloud Platform, AppSignal, LaunchDarkly
• Project & Communication Tools: Linear, Slack, Gmail
• Development Environments: IDE of choice (team preference: Visual Studio Code)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of front-end engineering principles, patterns, and data
  structures.
• Expertise in React & React Native.
• Proficiency in TypeScript & JavaScript.
• Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
• Strong CSS styling skills.
• Familiarity with app monitoring tools (e.g., AppSignal).
• Experience with feature flagging systems (e.g., LaunchDarkly).
• Basic knowledge of backend infrastructure (MongoDB, Memcache, Redis, Kubernetes,
  etc.).

Experience & Soft Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in a team-based engineering environment.
• Proven experience building and maintaining user-facing software products.
• Knowledge and interest in the music industry is a plus.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills
• Collaborative, agile mindset in fast-paced teams
• Excellent problem-solving across departments
