This role provides advanced subject-matter leadership for enterprise business resiliency and continuity capabilities. The Lead Analyst establishes and improves methods, frameworks, program standards, and operating practices that support business impact analysis, continuity planning, recovery strategies, exercises, after-action improvement, and critical-service dependency management. The role evaluates complex and interdependent risks across business operations, technology, applications, third parties, and other essential capabilities.

The Lead Analyst integrates enterprise risk and control information into resiliency governance, analysis, reporting, and recommendations. The role develops decision-oriented insights, facilitates cross-functional alignment, and advises risk owners, process owners, and leaders on preparedness, recoverability, control alignment, and improvement priorities. Work is performed with substantial independence and requires sound judgment, systems thinking, strong facilitation, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to senior stakeholders.

This is an individual contributor role that leads through expertise, influence, and standards. The role does not inherently include formal people management, budget ownership, risk-acceptance authority, final policy approval, or capital-allocation authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and ongoing maturation of enterprise business resiliency governance, methods, operating practices, and program standards.

  • Coordinate business impact analyses, continuity planning, recovery strategy development, exercises, and after-action improvement tracking.

  • Integrate business operations, technology, applications, third parties, customers, and critical-service dependencies into resiliency planning and assessment.

  • Facilitate enterprise risk assessment activities and translate risk information into clear, decision-oriented analysis and recommendations.

  • Develop and maintain risk methodologies, taxonomies, key risk indicators, scenario analyses, dashboards, and executive-ready communications.

  • Design and govern control taxonomy, ownership, evidence, lifecycle, and cross-framework mapping practices within approved authority.

  • Analyze relationships among risks, controls, findings, obligations, continuity capabilities, and assurance activities to identify gaps, duplication, and improvement priorities.

  • Advise risk owners, process owners, and leaders on resiliency, risk, control design, governance, and evidence expectations.

  • Lead cross-functional alignment and adoption across audit, finance, compliance, technology, privacy, legal, operations, and third-party risk stakeholders.

  • Apply analytics, automation, and enabling technologies to improve visibility, quality, efficiency, scalability, and reporting while maintaining appropriate governance.

  • Prepare concise insights on preparedness, recovery capability, risk exposure, control coverage, and program maturity for senior stakeholders.

  • Monitor program outcomes and drive continuous improvement based on exercises, incidents, assessments, findings, and stakeholder feedback.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of business continuity, business resiliency, operational resilience, recovery planning, and exercise management concepts and practices.

  • Applied knowledge of enterprise risk management, internal controls, governance, assurance, and related risk and control frameworks.

  • Ability to evaluate complex dependencies, identify material risks and control gaps, and translate findings into practical recommendations.

  • Ability to design scalable methods, governance frameworks, operating practices, metrics, and reporting for an enterprise capability.

  • Strong analytical, systems-thinking, problem-solving, facilitation, and decision-support skills.

  • Ability to influence across functions and communicate complex risk and resiliency information clearly to senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise independent judgment, and deliver high-quality outcomes in an evolving environment.

  • Proficiency with risk, resiliency, analytics, reporting, workflow, and collaboration technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, emergency management, information systems, finance, compliance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Progressive professional experience in business continuity, operational resilience, enterprise risk management, internal controls, assurance, or a closely related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional programs, frameworks, assessments, exercises, or governance activities.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop executive-ready analysis and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.

  • Professional certification related to business continuity, operational resilience, risk management, internal audit, information systems audit, or governance.

  • Experience integrating resiliency, enterprise risk, control, assurance, and third-party dependency information.

  • Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.

  • This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
