Job description

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Business Development Director, Clinical Supply Services to join our team. This role is remote and based in Germany, covering the territory of Germany and Austria. You will focus on expanding our presence in the pharmaceutical market, managing existing relationships, and creating new opportunities. This is a strategic, client-facing position that combines business development and account management to deliver integrated solutions.

Location: Remote, Based in Switzerland

Travel: 50%

The Role

  • Drive revenue growth and achieve annual sales targets within Germany and Austria
  • Proactively identify, prospect, and win new business opportunities
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships, ensuring long-term partnerships
  • Build and leverage a strong professional network across the pharmaceutical industry
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver tailored client solutions
  • Develop strategic account plans and execute go-to-market strategies
  • Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows, and client meetings
  • Maintain accurate reporting on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts

The Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven track record in Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) services
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Strong hunter mindset with demonstrated success in prospection and closing deals
  • Experience managing both new business acquisition and existing accounts
  • International background with the ability to navigate diverse business environments
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong social and networking abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills & Background

  • Strong hunter mentality with a proven track record of identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities
  • International commercial experience with the ability to work across diverse markets and cultures
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant business development experience
  • Previous CDMO experience strongly preferred, ideally within Clinical Supply Services, drug substance, or drug product services
  • Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and its commercial landscape
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
