Job Description:

Senior Field Applications Engineer will be the primary pre- and post-sales technical support contact for MPS key customers in the South Central, US Area. The main responsibility of this position is to engage with key customers and secure design wins using MPS power products and services. This person is also responsible for defining and sharing current and emerging customer power technical needs to improve the tactical and strategic product positioning, while working closely with local sales team and product lines.

Essential Functions:

  • Contribute to MPS US Revenue growth through direct and in-direct technical activities.
  • Identify and win new business opportunities to grow MPS business.
  • Develop solid technical understanding of our power products and relevant solutions.
  • Share technical knowledge to build trust and confidence with customer power engineering team while identifying and understanding customer’s needs and wants.
  • Provide frequent on-site technical support to customers while meeting or exceeding customer’s expectations with MPS power products
  • Provide regular feedback to the product lines and help define new products
  • Gather potential market changes and competitors’ activities for MPS product strategy.
  • Act as local subject matter expert presenting MPS power products and technology to key customers.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE/MSEE with 5+ years power management and analog systems experience.
  • Hands on experience with point-of-load DC-DC power conversion.
  • Strong schematic and layout review, lab measurement, debug and problem solving skills
  • Team player, with outgoing personality and strong desire to win.
  • Ability to develop customer relationships, build trust and be accepted as a extension of the customers’ power engineering development team.
  • Agile and proactive mindset focusing on value added activities, driving revenue growth
  • Awareness of what is needed to win, steps to get there and progress.
  • Able to communicate well at all levels, with verbal and written proficiency in English.
  • Ability to travel locally up to 50% to key customers.

Remote, South Central USA
