Job Description:

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) is an S&P 500 global power and analog semiconductor company (NASDAQ:MPWR). Well positioned in the Computing, Automotive and Consumer markets, we want to develop our presence on the Industrial market, and are looking for a driven, creative and energetic Business Development Manager to join our EU sales team.

As a BDM reporting in the European Sales organization, you will structure the Industrial field support and interface with the various Product Lines developing products aimed at the Industrial market. Your goal is to grow significantly the European Industrial market revenue by strengthening relationships with major accounts and developing business with key regional players.

In this role you are expected to travel across Europe to meet with customers and field colleagues to build relationships, develop a keen intuition for the market, and drive design wins. At the interface between Product Lines, Field team and Customers, you will use your verbal and written communication skills to ensure the rights products are developed, marketed and sold.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Help develop and execute strategies to expand MPS presence on the European Industrial Market
  • Work closely with Field team (Sales and FAEs) as a facilitator, giving them tools to be successful (such as Products and Roadmaps presentation, typical block diagram and power trees, help on understanding customer applications)
  • Collaborate with the Product Lines developing products susceptible to fit the European Industrial Market needs, to make sure the right products are developed. Help optimize their efforts by prioritizing opportunities, centralizing market needs, and driving alignment meetings
  • Keep abreast of Industrial market trends to inform roadmap and marketing strategy
  • Support dedicated marketing activities, including collaterals for new product introductions and digital presence, and participation at tradeshows. Make sure distribution partners are trained and given the tools to perform
  • Face-to-face interaction with customers for product definition, roadmap promotion, market understanding and relationship management
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industrial applications

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years work experience in the semiconductor industry, in technical sales or marketing, with good knowledge of the European Industrial Market
  • Strong understanding of semiconductors and how they are made
  • Technical experience in power management and analog semiconductors a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with people in different functions and across regions
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment 
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results 

EDUCATION AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • BS or MS in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Fluency in English and German (C1)
