Acentra Health is looking for an Instructional Design & Trainer, Associate to join our growing team.


Job Summary:

 

The Instructional Design and Training Associate is responsible for writing and editing the learning content for end-user training and creating job aids and documentation. They participate in design activities and work with teams to develop training materials. The Associate is involved in learning program development, supporting the technical training environment, delivering classroom training, and updating training materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn assigned Acentra Health application/system and applicable Acentra Health/client clinical and operational workflows. 
  • Prepare and maintain documentation and all course materials for scenario-based role-oriented education. 
  • Aid in eLearning course development, ongoing new hire education, go-live/end-user support, demonstrations of the system, and other duties pertinent to onboarding & education. 
  • Build, maintain, and prepare training environments for training classes. 
  • Ensure all materials for each course are ready for scheduled classes. 
  • Support logistics and delivery of training for end-users. 
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss training-related activities, issues, changes, communications, and updates. 
  • Assist the Acentra Health Training Manager and Senior Instructional Designers with project and content development. 
  • Support the planning and execution of work plan tasks, coordination of resources, and meeting plans. 
  • Provide regular updates to the Acentra Health Training Manager on work plan completion, outstanding work, and risks. 
  • Address issues identified by the instructional design team and escalate unresolved issues to the Training Manager. 
  • Review final Acentra Health Product training for accuracy and completeness, ensuring the highest-quality deliverables. 
  • Coordinate team activities with other instructional design teams to integrate work, instructional design, build, testing, and delivery. 
  • Support the processes, reports, tools, procedures, and schedules for training logistics. 
  • Support the storage and maintenance of learning content, templates, and standard operating procedures.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties that management may deem necessary. 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of work in a corporate or technical learning environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience composing detailed written coursework, creating and editing screenshots, developing eLearning content, creating and following work plans, and designing and developing learning content.

  • Knowledge of the payer/healthcare environment.

  • Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.

  • Ability to assess risk impact.

  • Coordinate and communicate complex concepts in a simple form to cross-functional departments, teams, and process stakeholders.

  • Customer service orientation with collaborative work experience.

  • Lead others to adhere to established industry best practices standards and quality.

  • Maintain a positive image when dealing with department personnel and other Acentra Health/Client employees.

  • Practice a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.

Experience in Lieu of Degree

 

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
