Acentra Health is looking for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our growing team.


Job Summary:

 

The Senior Compensation Analyst will analyze, design, and administer compensation programs, including base pay, short-term incentives, and sales commissions, that align with company objectives for recruiting, retention, and employee engagement. Design and communicate pay structures, grades, compensation budgets, and guidelines. Advise managers and HR on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and budgetary guidelines. Evaluate jobs and develop and maintain job descriptions and job architecture. Participate in compensation surveys, conduct research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.

 

***This is a remote position, with preferred candidate located in the Northern Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, DC area***

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, and administer compensation programs, including base pay, short term incentives and sales commissions which align with the company objectives for recruiting, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Design and communicate pay structures, grades, compensation budgets, and guidelines.
  • Participate in compensation survey submission and analysis.
  • Conduct research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and HR Business Partners to provide compensation data and guidance for new hire offers and internal transfers, ensuring alignment with approved salary structures, internal equity and established guidelines.
  • Compile and validate internal and external compensation data; maintain key compensation materials (e.g., salary structures, job pricing summaries, and market comparison reports); and support compensation projects, including market analysis, pay equity reviews, and program enhancements, by providing insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions, ensuring accurate content, consistent formatting, and alignment with established job architecture.
  • Conduct job evaluations, applying established frameworks and ensuring internal equity.
  • Research and summarize updates to employment and wage-related regulations.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, Economics, Analytics and a minimum of 5+ years of compensation; OR will consider years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have experience using Excel at the intermediate level (i.e., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and generating graphs and charts).
  • Must have previous government contracting experience.
  • Well-developed attention-to-detail skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Integrity and the ability to work with confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, willingness to take initiative, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work within established timelines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain compensation analysis to HR stakeholders.
  • This position primarily involves working at a desk and using a computer for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Service Contract Act.

Experience in Lieu of Degree

 

For non-clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the Company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidate has an Associate's degree, the Company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.

"Based on our compensation philosophy, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level."

Pay Range: USD $86,480.00 - USD $108,100.00 /Yr.
