Saviynt IGA Architect (Japanese Speaking)

Position Overview
Our client, a global technology services organization, is seeking a Saviynt Identity Governance and Administration Architect for a fully remote, six-month contract engagement. This is a senior architecture role owning the design and delivery of an enterprise identity governance platform, working with stakeholders across the United States and Japan.
Japanese language capability is a core requirement of this position, as the role involves direct engagement with Japanese-speaking business and technical stakeholders. This is a strong opportunity for an identity professional who wants architectural ownership on a global programme with genuine technical complexity.
Key Responsibilities
You will own the solution architecture for the Saviynt Enterprise Identity Cloud implementation, translating business and regulatory requirements into a governance design covering identity lifecycle, access request, certification, segregation of duties, and privileged access workflows.
You will lead the technical design and configuration of Saviynt components including connectors and integrations to target applications, roles and entitlement models, analytics and rule configuration, workflow design, and reporting, ensuring the platform scales and performs against enterprise requirements.
You will work directly with business stakeholders, application owners, security teams, and audit and compliance functions to gather requirements, define governance policy, and drive design decisions to agreement. A meaningful proportion of this engagement is conducted in Japanese with stakeholders in that region.
You will provide technical leadership to the delivery team, review configuration and code, define integration patterns and standards, support testing and cutover activity, troubleshoot complex issues across the identity stack, and produce architecture documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
You will define the target operating model for identity governance alongside the client's security organization, covering role ownership, certification cadence, exception handling, and the division of responsibility between central security and application teams once the platform is live. You will also support audit readiness by ensuring that governance evidence, certification records, and policy enforcement are demonstrable to internal and external auditors.
Requirements
Substantial hands-on experience architecting and implementing Saviynt Identity Governance and Administration solutions is required, including connector development, workflow and rule configuration, and role and entitlement design.
Professional working proficiency in Japanese, sufficient for technical and business discussions with native-speaking stakeholders, is required alongside professional English proficiency.
You must have strong grounding in identity and access management concepts including lifecycle management, RBAC, access certification, segregation of duties, and privileged access, along with practical integration experience across enterprise directories, HR systems, cloud platforms, and business applications using REST, SOAP, SCIM, LDAP, and SAML or OIDC.
Preferred Qualifications
Saviynt certification is preferred, as is prior experience migrating to Saviynt from a legacy identity governance platform such as SailPoint, Oracle Identity Manager, or a comparable enterprise provisioning suite.
Experience in regulated industries with SOX, GDPR, or similar compliance obligations is highly valued. Familiarity with cloud identity in AWS, Azure, or GCP, scripting or development capability in Java, Python, or JavaScript, and prior client-facing consulting experience are all advantageous.
Experience delivering IGA programmes across multiple geographies and regulatory regimes is highly valued, particularly where requirements differ between regions. Familiarity with Japanese data protection and internal control expectations, prior experience in a lead or principal architect capacity, and a track record of mentoring less experienced identity engineers all strengthen an application.
Compensation and Benefits
This engagement pays an hourly rate in the range of $98.00 to $100.00, reflecting the seniority of the role and the bilingual requirement, across a six-month contract with a defined end date.
The position is fully remote, offering genuine location flexibility, though some schedule overlap with Japan business hours should be expected. You will work on a global identity governance programme with architectural ownership and exposure to enterprise-scale complexity, and extension may be available subject to performance and programme need.
