Job description

We are seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Senior Client Manager to join a top-ranked insurance and risk management firm on a fully remote basis. This role requires an active California Insurance License. You will work alongside Risk Advisors and Executive Client Managers to deliver an exceptional level of service to a portfolio of commercial clients — managing complex P&C programs, driving renewals, and serving as a trusted advisor on risk, coverage, and compliance decisions.

This firm has been recognized repeatedly as a Best Place to Work both locally and nationally, with a culture built on community involvement, personal growth, and employee wellbeing. It is a stable, growing organization where talented insurance professionals build long careers, with meaningful advancement opportunities and compensation that rewards performance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide day-to-day service to clients in conjunction with the Risk Advisor and/or Executive Client Manager
  • Manage the new business and renewal process; review risk management surveys
  • Identify exposures to loss and advise clients on appropriate coverages
  • Understand complex coverages and class code assignments
  • Conduct proactive analysis of underwriting data including Loss Ratios, Experience Modification Ratings, and Audit Dispute Resolution
  • Develop marketing plans with Risk Advisors, Executive Client Managers, and insureds
  • Complete submissions to market new and renewal accounts to insurance carriers
  • Prepare proposals; negotiate coverage terms, pricing, and commissions with carriers
  • Work with underwriters to gather additional information from clients as needed
  • Create and manage client and carrier-facing documents including Statements of Values and Schedules
  • Collaborate with Risk Control to monitor significant claims and risk control issues
  • Conduct contract and lease reviews to advise clients on risk and compliance matters
  • Review Certificates of Insurance for compliance; provide client guidance and training
  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and carrier personnel
  • Oversee, direct, plan, and mentor your High Performance Team (HPT)
  • Independently conduct client meetings, deliver proposals, and lead client training sessions
  • Identify and escalate all matters that may give rise to an E&O claim

What We're Looking For

  • Current California Insurance License — required
  • 5+ years of client management experience in P&C insurance
  • Industry designations (CIC, CPCU, ARM, or equivalent) preferred
  • Proficiency in PC applications and insurance management platforms
  • Exceptional attention to detail with ability to identify coverage gaps and documentation errors
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated negotiating skills and advanced knowledge of commercial coverages
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive client information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to multi-task effectively
  • Team-first mentality and a commitment to continuous professional development
