Job description

Do you thrive in interdisciplinary and international environments where you can combine your system engineering skills with customer engagement and hands-on field support? If you enjoy combining technical leadership with hands-on field work – then this opportunity is just for you. Come and join our team!

We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Project Engineer to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

Your role in our team

As our new Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager in delivering security system projects from design through integration, testing, installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
Acting as the technical lead, you ensure successful deployment of C2 hardware and software platforms integrated with radar and third-party sensor systems.

You will lead technical activities throughout project execution and customer acceptance, owning system functionality, performance, and compliance. Moreover, you will serve as the main technical contact for customers and stakeholders and ensure that the system’s performance meets operational requirements. Finally, your responsibility will also include conducting on-site installation inspections and commissioning.

Our team today consists of 4 colleagues with a wide range of tasks all related to technical sales and delivery. The team is spread to several locations but focuses a lot on cooperation and support as a one-team spirit.

International travel must be expected: approximately 40–80 days annually, typically 1–2 weeks at a time.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Your key responsibilities include:

    • Plan and execute verification and validation activities
    • Support integration testing, FAT, pre-FAT, and customer acceptance testing
    • Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis
    • Provide remote and on-site technical support
    • Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and colleagues
    • Present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

Bring your world class expertise into play

You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, an equivalent technical education and experience may be considered
    • Experience in technical project execution, system engineering, or field engineering with strong understanding of systems engineering principles
    • Knowledge of integrated hardware/software systems, third-party integrations as well as mechanical, electronic, and software architectures
    • Experience with system integration, testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, commissioning, and customer-facing activities

It is a benefit but not a requirement, if you have experience with:

    • Technical project management
    • Defense, security, critical infrastructure, NATO, or EU projects

As a person, you are proactive, analytical and result-oriented, enabling you to solve complex technical challenges in a structured and systematic way. Your excellent communication skills allow you to build effective relationships with stakeholders and customers alike. You thrive both when working independently - for example, serving as the technical go-to expert on commissioning sites - and as part of a collaborative team culture where cooperation and knowledge sharing are key to success.

We are an international company representing world-class expertise, delivering complex and high-tech products. We value our colleagues and our meaningful contributions to securing people through advanced technology. You will also experience that we have a strong focus on your development, teaching you useful new competences and further strengthening current ones, both professionally and personally. Our company culture is autonomous and engaging, and we acknowledge the importance of flexibility in a great working environment.

When joining Terma, we promise that you will experience: Great people, challenging tasks, world-class expertise, and meaningful contribution in your daily work.
