Do you have the commercial mindset to turn market opportunities into business success? Join us to take a lead within strategic sourcing, strengthen supplier partnerships, and shape the future of our Electrical category. If you are ready to make an impact, we are looking forward to hearing from you!

We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Purchasing Manager to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

Your role in our team

As the owner of the Electrical category, you will be instrumental in developing and driving the category strategy, ensuring that the right supplier partnerships are established to meet our operational and strategic requirements. Your contribution will be key to enabling our continued growth and long-term success.

You will, as our new Purchasing Manager, be working cross-functionally with stakeholders across Terma and help facilitate requirements from our R&D and sales organization. Furthermore, you will support and drive category specific KPIs and ensure we remain on target.

While the role is primarily strategic in nature, a significant part of your week will be dedicated to supporting our Business Development team in securing new opportunities. This includes engaging with suppliers to obtain commercial and technical input for bids and proposals, as well as assisting project teams with occasional urgent requirements by leveraging your strong supplier network and relationships.

The team that you become part of consists of 12 people in Sourcing, including Director level, where we have an informal atmosphere among colleagues.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Your key responsibilities include:

    • Negotiating agreements with suppliers on electrical components
    • Support and develop the electrical category in accordance with Terma’s overall strategy
    • Contribute to the atmosphere and performance of our supply chain team
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure best for Terma solutions.

Bring your world class expertise into play

You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague who:

    • Holds a relevant educational background within e.g., supply chain, procurement, logistics or engineering
    • Has experience with sourcing processes, negotiation, and stakeholder management – knowing the value and importance of developing supplier relations
    • Has strong skills in Microsoft Office package – with emphasis on Excel

It is an advantage but not a requirement, if you have:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience from a similar job
    • Experience with electrical components

As a person, you have a positive mindset and strong communication skills. With an analytical approach to work and natural curiosity, you are able to deliver results as part of a team alongside working individually with other projects. Finally, you are motivated to drive improvement and optimize our way of working.

We are an international company representing world-class expertise, delivering complex and high-tech products. We value our colleagues and our meaningful contributions to securing people through advanced technology. You will also experience that we have a strong focus on your development, teaching you useful new competences and further strengthening current ones, both professionally and personally.
