Job description

Love film, entertainment and great creative marketing?

This is an exciting opportunity to build your experience in entertainment marketing with Sony Pictures Releasing Australia, helping bring some of the world’s biggest theatrical releases to Australian audiences.

We’re looking for a Marketing Executive to join our Sydney team on a 12-month maternity leave cover contract, working full-time from 5 October 2026. Our team works from our Market Street office Monday to Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays.

Reporting to the Head of Media & Creative, you’ll join our Marketing team in a hands-on coordination role supporting the delivery of creative assets and paid media campaigns across an exciting slate of upcoming films.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across Marketing, local and international teams, and our media and creative agency partners. From coordinating campaign assets and agency briefs to managing timelines, budgets and campaign administration, you’ll play an important part in keeping campaigns moving and ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high creative standard.

This role would suit someone in the earlier stages of their marketing career who already has some relevant experience within marketing, media, a creative agency or the entertainment industry and is looking for an opportunity to build on that experience within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate the delivery of paid media campaigns across TV, VOD, outdoor, audio, digital and social.

  • Brief and manage creative agencies to localise global campaign assets.

  • Partner with our media and creative agencies to deliver campaigns on schedule.

  • Manage production budgets, purchase orders and campaign administration.

  • Review campaign performance and recommend creative optimisations.

  • Collaborate across the Marketing team to ensure creative assets are delivered effectively for each campaign.

  • Embrace emerging marketing technologies, including AI, to support smarter workflows within company policies.

What you need:

  • Relevant experience in marketing, a creative or media agency, or the entertainment industry.

  • Experience working with creative and/or media agencies.

  • A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to build strong relationships across agencies and internal teams.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for creative execution.

  • Strong ability to manage time and priorities in a deadline-driven role.

  • A strong understanding of the Australian media landscape.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skill inc. Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.

  • A passion for film, entertainment and popular culture.

  • Please note that this role is based in Sydney, Australia. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the Australian immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in Australia  for the duration of the employment.
