Position Overview

The People Systems & Workforce Analyst is responsible for the administration, optimization, governance, and strategic utilization of the organization's Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and workforce data. This role serves as the primary HRIS subject matter expert while leveraging workforce analytics to provide actionable insights that support business decisions, organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, workforce planning, and operational excellence. 

This position combines expertise in HR technology, data analytics, business intelligence, and process improvement to ensure workforce data is accurate, accessible, and meaningful. The People Systems & Workforce Analyst partners closely with People Operations, Total Rewards, Corporate Training, and Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance employee experience, organizational performance, and strategic decision-making. 


Essential Duties

Workforce Analytics & Reporting

  • Design, develop, and maintain workforce dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting. 
  • Analyze workforce data and trends related to headcount, retention, turnover, compensation, workforce demographics, employee movement, and organizational effectiveness. 
  • Develop meaningful workforce metrics and key performance indicators to support business objectives. 
  • Deliver workforce insights and recommendations to leaders through data storytelling and visualization. 
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and risks that inform strategic workforce planning and talent decisions. 

HRIS Administration & Management

  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the organization's HRIS platform. 
  • Manage system configuration, security roles, workflows, business processes, and user access. 
  • Maintain system integrity through ongoing audits, testing, and data validation. 
  • Lead HRIS upgrades, enhancements, implementations, and system optimization efforts. 
  • Troubleshoot system issues and partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve technical concerns. 
  • Manage system integrations and ensure accurate data flow across platforms. 
  • Develop and maintain HRIS documentation, procedures, training materials, and user guides. 
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements. 

Business Intelligence & Data Visualization

  • Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and visual analytics solutions. 
  • Extract, transform, and analyze data using SQL and other analytical tools. 
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable business insights. 
  • Automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and data accessibility. 
  • Support advanced reporting and ad hoc analysis requests across the organization. 

Data Governance & Quality

  • Establish and maintain workforce data standards, definitions, and governance practices. 
  • Monitor and improve data quality across HR systems and reporting platforms. 
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and consistency. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve data collection, reporting processes, and system utilization. 

Strategic Workforce Planning & Process Improvement

  • Support workforce planning, forecasting, and organizational design initiatives. 
  • Provide analytical support for compensation, talent, and organizational effectiveness programs. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance system capabilities. 
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that support organizational objectives. 

Partnership & Consultation

  • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to understand workforce reporting and system needs. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on workforce metrics, reporting, and HR technology solutions. 
  • Present findings and recommendations to leaders in a clear and meaningful manner. 
  • Support enterprise initiatives through workforce data analysis and reporting expertise.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Human Resources, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field preferred. 
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. 

Experience 

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in HRIS administration, workforce analytics, people analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role. 
  • Demonstrated experience serving as the primary administrator of an HRIS platform. 
  • Experience developing workforce dashboards, executive reporting, and analytics solutions. 
  • Experience supporting business decisions through workforce data analysis and reporting. 
  • Advanced experience administering and managing HRIS platforms. 
  • Advanced SQL skills, including data extraction, transformation, querying, and reporting. 
  • Advanced Tableau experience, including dashboard development, data visualization, and executive reporting. 
  • Strong workforce analytics and business intelligence capabilities. 
  • Experience with data governance, data quality management, and reporting architecture. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets and communicate findings effectively. 
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills. 

Preferred

  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Paylocity, UKG, Workday, Dayforce, ADP, Oracle HCM, or similar systems. 
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Python, R, or other data analytics tools. 
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, compensation analytics, talent management, and organizational effectiveness metrics. 
  • Experience managing HR technology integrations  

 

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

Requirements:  

  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50–60-minute competency assessment. Work Location and Travel Requirements 

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position. 

 Work from home requirements are: 

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment 
  • High Speed Internet Service 
  • It is a requirement that employees work in a distraction free workplace 
  • Travel required up to 20% nationally for on-site Go Live support based on business requirements for OCHIN 
  • (OR) Travel may be required nationally based on business requirements for OCHIN

The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
