Job Description

We are currently looking for a skilled Senior Python Data & Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team and collaborate closely with an established digital advertising agency managing paid media programs for a growing client base.

As part of a business-critical data and automation environment, the Senior Python Engineer will take ownership of the Python workflows that connect client financial data, CRM data, first-party website data, and advertising-network data. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role that begins with a hands-on knowledge transfer from the departing engineer and grows into shaping the long-term architecture of the platform.

You will play a key role in stabilizing daily operations, improving the reliability and scalability of existing pipelines, and applying AI responsibly to accelerate delivery. This role contributes directly to protecting client campaign performance while building a more resilient, modern data and automation platform.

  • Experience integrating with REST APIs, third-party platforms, and heterogeneous source systems.
  • Experience with AWS-hosted applications or data workloads.
  • Proven ability to understand and safely modify unfamiliar or poorly documented code.
  • Experience with data-quality validation, reconciliation, exception handling, logging, and monitoring.
  • Sound software engineering practices, including testing, version control, code review, and controlled deployment.
  • Ability to design maintainable solutions rather than a collection of isolated scripts.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating operational needs into technical solutions.
  • English proficiency (C1 level or higher), both written and spoken, with strong communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Background in advertising technology, marketing technology, or digital attribution platforms.
  • Experience with Google Ads, Meta, or other advertising-network integrations.
  • Familiarity with conversion APIs or offline conversion imports.
  • Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Snowflake, or similar platform integrations.
  • Exposure to workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
  • Experience with data-transformation frameworks such as dbt.
  • Consulting, agency, or professional-services delivery experience.

  • Build and support integrations with CRM systems, financial platforms, data warehouses, websites, and advertising networks
  • Improve the separation of data ingestion, transformation, storage, and downstream outputs
  • Implement data-quality checks, reconciliation, exception handling, logging, and alerting
  • Use approved AI development tools to accelerate code analysis, documentation, testing, and delivery, while protecting client data
  • Identify repetitive processes that can be automated to increase team capacity
  • Assess the current architecture and recommend pragmatic improvements once operations are stabilized
  • Operate as a consistent, embedded member of the client team, communicating clearly with nontechnical stakeholders including the CEO and COO

This is currently projected as a 4-6 month engagement.
