The Role

LearnLux is seeking a Global Financial Content Writer (Contract) to support the creation and maintenance of high-quality financial education content for members around the world. This is an hourly contractor role with an expected commitment of 15+ hours per week, with opportunities to increase hours based on business needs and performance.

In this role, you'll write engaging, accurate, and accessible personal finance content for employees across multiple countries. You'll collaborate closely with the Senior Content Manager and broader content team to produce educational content that reflects local financial systems while maintaining LearnLux's editorial standards and financial wellbeing methodology.

What you’ll do

Content Writing

  • Write new financial education lessons for a global audience across a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to:
    • Budgeting and cash flow management
    • Emergency savings
    • Credit and debt management
    • Investing and portfolio fundamentals
    • Equity compensation (such as stock options and employee stock purchase plans)
    • Retirement planning
    • Taxes
    • Homeownership
    • Insurance
    • Everyday financial decision-making
  • Develop content that simplifies complex financial concepts while remaining accurate and actionable for readers with varying levels of financial knowledge.
  • Adapt content for different countries by incorporating local financial systems, terminology, regulations, and cultural context.
  • Ensure all content is clear, inclusive, engaging, and aligned with LearnLux's voice and style guidelines.

Content Review & Quality

  • Review and revise content based on editorial, planner, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Participate in quality assurance reviews to maintain editorial consistency and financial accuracy.
  • Fact-check content and identify opportunities to improve or update lessons as financial regulations or best practices evolve.

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Partner closely with the Senior Content Manager to prioritize content initiatives and meet production deadlines.
  • Follow established editorial workflows while contributing ideas to improve content quality and production efficiency.
  • Use AI tools responsibly to support writing, research, and content maintenance.

You should bring

  • Proven experience writing personal finance or financial education content.
  • Strong understanding of a broad range of personal finance topics, including investing, retirement planning, equity compensation, taxes, insurance, and credit.
  • Ability to translate complex financial topics into clear, engaging, and accessible educational content.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide writing samples that demonstrate financial content expertise.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance writing, research, and content workflows.
