• Translate business requirements into logical, conceptual, and physical solution architectures spanning applications, integrations, data, and cloud infrastructure
• Define architecture roadmaps and target state designs that support current and future business needs
• Establish reusable architecture patterns, reference architectures, and standards to accelerate delivery and consistency
• Provide architectural guidance on build vs. buy decisions and platform selection
Solution Implementation & Technical Leadership
• Lead solution design across cloud native, hybrid, and SaaS based architectures
• Guide development teams through architecture reviews, design validation, and implementation support
• Ensure non functional requirements are met, including scalability, performance, availability, security, and maintainability
• Collaborate with engineering teams on API design, integration patterns, microservices, and event driven architectures
• Support proof of concepts and architecture spikes to validate design decisions
Integration, Cloud & Platform Architecture
• Design and govern integration architectures using APIs, messaging, event streaming, and middleware platforms
• Architect solutions leveraging cloud platforms, with Azure preferred and AWS or GCP as applicable
• Provide guidance on containerization, orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Align infrastructure and platform design with cost optimization and operational efficiency goals
Governance, Security & Compliance
• Ensure solution architecture complies with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements, including the EU AI Act, GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA
• Partner with security teams to embed security by design principles, including identity, access management, encryption, and threat mitigation
• Participate in architecture governance forums and design review boards
• Ensure solutions meet audit, risk, and compliance expectations
Documentation & Knowledge Management
• Maintain comprehensive solution architecture documentation, including diagrams, decision records, and standards
• Contribute to and manage architecture repositories and technology catalogs
• Regularly review and update solution designs to reflect evolving business and technology needs
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Stay current with emerging technologies and architectural trends, including cloud native, GenAI, LLMs, event driven systems, and composable architectures
• Identify opportunities to modernize legacy systems and reduce technical debt
• Recommend innovations that improve delivery speed, system resilience, and business agility
